The Art Auction
Leni Stojchevski and Makedonka Baloski were the organizers of this event on behalf of the Macedonian Arts Council. It was held in a landmark art building in Crown Point where donated art works and artifacts were displayed for auction to benefit the organization. Among the artists were Sonja Jovanoska, who donated several pieces of unique embroidered filigree art and Chris Elinchev who contributed art pieces that are known as polaroid emulsion transfers created by taking polaroid photographs that have been stripped of their top layer, then transferred onto an archival fine art paper. The Macedonian-based fine art painter Robert Cvetkovski donated an original modern painting and the Arts Council supplied several jewelry pieces from its silver filigree collection.
